Dark-roasted coffee up front, then a rush of ripe cherry and cacao nib behind it. Finishes warm with cardamom and a whisper of vanilla — bitter enough to feel grown-up, rounded enough to keep drinking.
Most bitters lean strictly savory; this one plays with dessert. A few dashes turns an old-fashioned into a Black Manhattan adjacent sipper, and one dash in sparkling water is the easiest after-dinner mocktail we know.
Key ingredients: Vegetable glycerin, purified water, apple cider vinegar, decaf coffee, sweet cherry, gentian root, chicory root, dandelion root, orange peel, cacao nibs, wild cherry bark, cardamom, cinnamon, vanilla bean (organic or wild harvested)
Good to know: 0.0% ABV. Vegan, gluten-free, and made from whole organic plants — no extracts, artificial flavors, or added colors. Handmade in small batches in Chico, California by Carly and Ian (former French Laundry sommeliers) over a twelve-week steep — roughly two to three times the botanical load of traditional alcoholic bitters. The brand is a 1% for the Planet member and ships carbon neutral.
How to enjoy: Three to five dashes in a zero-proof old-fashioned or sparkling water with a twist. Try a dash in cold brew for a complex, barely-sweet coffee bitters and soda.
